Migrate cPanel accounts from reseller hosting to shared hosting

The process of moving cPanel accounts from a reseller hosting package to a shared web hosting package is covered in this  article.
Shared hosting packages only let you set up and maintain one cPanel account, but reseller hosting packages let you create and manage numerous accounts.
You must therefore combine the content of all of your websites into a single cPanel account in order to go from reseller to shared hosting. Databases and website files from subaccounts are copied to your main account throughout this process. In order for all of the websites to function properly, you also need to set up domains in cPanel after combining cPanel account.

Moving web site content:-
First, you must download the content of each subaccount’s web site. This includes the actual web site files, as well as any databases.

Files
To download the web site files, you can use an FTP client. (You can use the cPanel File Manager to transfer files, but a dedicated FTP client makes the job much easier.)
Upload the files from a subaccount to a subdirectory in your primary cPanel account’s public_html directory after you have downloaded them. You will need to know which directory has which site when configuring the domains, so be sure to keep track of this information.

The databases from each subaccount must be exported and imported into the main cPanel account once the files from each subaccount have been combined into the primary account:

Setting up domains

After you have consolidated all of the subaccounts into the primary cPanel account, the next step is to make the domains load from your primary cPanel account.

You must remove the addon and parked domains that are set up in each subaccount, and then add them to the primary cPanel account. After you add all of a subaccount’s parked and addon domains to the primary cPanel account, you can remove the subaccount. Then you can add the subaccount’s main domain to the primary cPanel account as either an addon or parked domain.
“A parked domain subaccount site should be set up as an addon domain in the main cPanel account before being transferred. Choose the directory you wish to load as the document root folder for the domain. If not, the domain will load the cPanel account’s primary domain.”

“There can be some downtime (up to 24 hours, though normally less) as any dedicated IP addresses on the sites you are moving change to the IP address of your principal cPanel account. Individual cPanel accounts are restricted to a single SSL certificate in addition to a single IP address.”

Starting the migration
After you consolidate everything into your primary cPanel account, please open a support ticket on the Customer Portal at https://secure.hostvento.com/. In the ticket, let us know that your reseller account is ready to switch to a shared hosting package.
