How to upgrade previously installed application in Softaculous

You can use Softaculous to upgrade the apps that you have previously installed. We strongly advise creating a backup of the application before beginning the update process, as upgrades can occasionally fail for a variety of reasons. Softaculous has a backup utility; use it to create a backup of your program before upgrading. If the upgrade does not work, you can simply upgrade the application and restore the backup by using the manual upgrading instructions.

Follow the below steps to upgrade the application/software:

1. Login to cPanel -> go to Software/Services -> click on Softaculous icon
2. Go to top right corner menu and click on “All Installations” option which looks like a wooden box
3. On the new page you will see the list of applications which you had installed earlier. Two blue arrows are used in Softaculous to highlight the new version of the applications. You will see the blue arrows if the Softaculous has the latest version of the application, hover the mouse on the arrows to know the version details and click on it to upgrade the application.
