How to view the error log in cPanel

When visitors attempt to see your site, HTTP failures are displayed in the cPanel error log. Permission settings, requested files that were not located, and other issues could be the cause of these errors. The last 300 entries from the error log for your website are displayed in the cPanel error log.

Viewing the error log

To view the error log in cPanel, follow these steps:

1. Log in to cPanel.If you do not know how to log in to your cPanel account, please see this article.
2. Open the Errors tool:
   • If you are using the Jupiter theme, on the Tools page, in the Metrics section, click Errors:
   • If you are using the Paper Lantern theme, in the METRICS section of the cPanel home page, click Errors:
     
   Entries appear in reverse chronological order.
