How To Disable ClamAV in cPanel/WHM ?

For Linux OS, ClamAV is a well-known antivirus program. However, because it is a resource hogger, a lot of RAM is used. The performance of your server is immediately impacted.

To deactivate ClamAV, just log in as root to your WHM and select Service Configuration » Service Manager. To turn off a service, uncheck it.

ClamAV uninstallation is also possible using WHM. Manage Plugins in cPanel » as the root user. Click on Uninstall Clamavconnector after unchecking the box next to ClamAV.
