How to Restart MySQL Server from WHM?

If you have made any configuration changes, such as rolling back the server or installing a software update, you might need to restart the MySQL server. Any processes that are currently executing, however, can be securely stopped as long as you restart the server using your WHM root account.

Note: Restarting the MySQL service may result in the loss of modifications and unsaved data. It is advised that you make a complete backup before moving on.

To Restart MySQL Server from WHM

1. Log in to the root account of the WHM panel.

2. Select the Restart Services option from the navigation menu.

3. Click on SQL Server (MySQL).

4. A message asking for your confirmation to restart the service will appear. Click the Yes button to confirm.

The system will begin the process of restarting the MySQL server. It will take some time for the server to restart. Meanwhile, some functions on your website may stop working temporarily. It is better if you do it in hours when your web traffic is the lowest.
