Smart System Notifier messages

We will send you an email as a shared hosting customer if the disk usage on your account starts to interfere with server stability and performance. This Smart System Notifier message alerts you to circumstances that may affect the functionality and dependability of the server that hosts your account. By alerting you to these circumstances in advance, we can collaborate to enhance the functionality and stability of your account before the problem affects the server as a whole.

High disk usage

As described in our Terms of Service, Complimentary Server Rewind for shared web hosting backups are limited to a 50GB quota. If an account exceeds 50GB of disk usage, it will no longer be backed up. Please download any cPanel backups and store them locally. Any cPanel backups older than 30 days are subject to removal by our system administrators.

Also, please review Section 3, “Services” which prohibits using your account for various bulk storage and storage “not directly related to the website.” Any files on your account must be part of an active website. Archival copies and backups are prohibited on AHostvento Hosting shared servers. Backing up the contents of a PC, maintaining an MP3 library, or storing large photo archives, for example, is in violation of our Terms of Service for shared servers.

There is a Disk Space Usage tool in cPanel that you can use to analyze your account’s disk usage. For more information, please see this article.

If your website’s storage needs are increasing, please contact our Sales department so we can discuss upgrade options.
