What is Thunderbird?

What you need

  • Your full email address and its password.
  • The incoming and outgoing server names. They are in your welcome email. You can also ask Hostvento support.

The incoming server holds your mail for you to read. The outgoing server sends your mail. IMAP is a way to read mail that stays on the server, so your phone and computer show the same mail. POP downloads mail to one computer. IMAP is usually the better choice.

Steps

  1. Open Thunderbird.
  2. On first start, the account window opens. If not, click the menu button, then New Account, then Email.
