What is a domain?
A domain is the address of your website, like myshop.com. You do not own it forever. You rent it for a period, such as one year. Before the period ends, you must renew it.
If you forget to renew, the domain can expire and your website and emails may stop working.
Steps
- Go to https://secure.hostvento.com/clientarea.php.
- Log in with your email address and password.
- Open the Domains menu.
- Click My Domains.
- A table lists each domain. It shows the registration date, the next due date and the status.
- Click a domain name to open its details page.
What each status means
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | The domain is registered and working. |
| Pending | The order is still being processed. |
| Pending Transfer | The domain is moving from another company. |
| Expired | The registration period ended. Renew soon. |
| Cancelled | The domain was cancelled. |
Your list may use different words. Ask support if one is unclear.
