The best way: a support ticket
A support ticket is a written request for help. You describe your problem. The team replies in the ticket. Every ticket has a number, so nothing gets lost. This is the way described in this guide.
Which department to choose
- Technical support: for website down, email problems, errors, setup help.
- Billing: for invoices, payments, renewals and refunds questions.
The exact department names may differ in the form. Pick the one that fits best.
Steps
- Go to https://secure.hostvento.com/clientarea.php and log in.
- Open the Support menu.
- Click Open Ticket. You can also go straight to the new ticket page.
- Choose the department, such as technical support or billing.
- If asked, choose the service or domain the question is about.
- Write a short subject, like "Website shows a 500 error".
- Describe the problem in the message box. Add the steps you tried and what you saw.
- Click Add More or Choose File to attach a screenshot, if it helps.
- Click Submit.
- You get an email with the ticket number. You can also follow it under Support, then My Tickets.
What to include
- Your domain name.
- The exact error message.
- When the problem started.
- For billing, the invoice number.
Tip: Never write your password in a ticket. If the team needs access, they will tell you a safe way.
If you cannot log in
Try the Forgot Password? link on the login page first. If you still cannot get in, look at the contact options listed on the Hostvento website. This guide does not list phone numbers or other contact details, because they can change.
