Reset Your Client Area Password

What is the client area?

The client area is your online account page. You log in there to see your services, domains, bills and support tickets. A password is a secret word that proves it is really you.

Steps

1. Open https://secure.hostvento.com/clientarea.php.
2. Find the login box.
3. Click the Forgot Password? link near the password box.
4. Type the email address you used when you signed up.
5. Click Reset Password or the similar button on the page.
6. Open your email inbox. Look for a message from Hostvento.
7. Click the link inside the message. It opens a page in your browser.
8. Type your new password. Type it again to confirm.
9. Click Save Changes.
10. Go back to the login page and log in with your new password.

If the email does not arrive

• Wait a few minutes. Email can be slow.
• Check your Spam or Junk folder.
• Make sure you typed the right email address. It must be the one on your account.
• Try the steps again.

How to make a strong password

• Use at least 12 characters.
• Mix capital letters, small letters, numbers and symbols.
• Do not use your name or birthday.
• Use a different password for each website.

Quick recap

• Open the client area login page.
• Click Forgot Password? and enter your account email.
• Open the email and click the link.
• Choose a new strong password and save it.
• Check Spam if the email is missing.
