What is an RSS feed?
An RSS feed is a list of a site's newest posts in a form that computers can read. Think of it as a news ticker for a website. Many blogs and news sites offer one. The address often ends in /feed or .xml.
You can show a feed on your own site. Visitors then see headlines from the other site, with links.
Find the feed address
- Open the site you want to follow.
- Add
/feedto the end of its address, such ashttps://example.com/feed. - If a page of text appears, you have the right address.
- Copy the address.

- Use the settings on the right to pick the number of items, and to show or hide the date, author and excerpt. An excerpt is a short piece of the post text.

- Add the RSS block.
- Paste the address and click Update.
Block themes use Appearance and Editor instead.
Show your own feed
Your own site already makes a feed. It is at your site address followed by /feed. You can share it so people can follow you in a feed reader. A feed reader is an app that collects feeds.
Tip: Only show feeds from sites you trust. If nothing shows, check the address and try again after a few minutes. WordPress keeps feeds for a short time before it asks again.
