What is a reseller account?
Reseller hosting lets you rent out hosting space to your own customers. Think of it as renting a big building and letting out rooms. Each room is a hosting account, with its own website, email and files. WHM is the control panel for resellers. A control panel is a web page where you manage hosting.
What is an account limit?
The account limit is the most hosting accounts you may create. It depends on your reseller plan. Hostvento does not give one fixed number here, because plans differ. You find your own number using the steps below.
There may also be limits on total disk space and bandwidth. Bandwidth is the amount of data your sites send to visitors. All your customer accounts share these limits.
Find your limit
- Check your welcome email. It often lists what your plan includes.
- Log in to the client area at https://secure.hostvento.com/clientarea.php.
- Click Services, then open your reseller plan.
- Read the plan details.
- Log in to WHM. Look at the main page or the account summary. Some versions show how many accounts you used.
- Open List Accounts to count the accounts you already have.
If you reach the limit
- You cannot create new accounts until you free a slot or upgrade.
- Delete accounts you no longer need. Warning: deleting removes that customer's files and email, so take a backup first.
- Ask Hostvento support about upgrading your plan.
